The primary objective for the implementation of Vistra’s Safety Management System is to provide the company a tool that is designed to help us put up our Best Defense and reduce the risk of occupational exposures, injuries, illnesses, property damage, and other incidents.

 Vistra’s Safety Management System is based upon the basic concepts of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z10 consensus standard, which provides critical management system requirements and guidelines for improvement of occupation health and safety performance. We have adopted this approach for ensuring our SMS had a structured process so that important practices, documents, systems, and processes are properly established, maintained, and continually improved.
