Vistra’s goal is to provide each employee with essential training and resources to help ensure their safety and health while planning or conducting onsite activities. Promoting continuous learning throughout the fleet and removing latent organizational weaknesses are the cornerstone pieces of Vistra’s safety philosophy. Also, reporting of all incidents, no matter how inconsequential, is critical for learning and we ask that each individual report safety incidents and hazards to assist in proper identification and remediation. Additionally, we value the prevention of errors and are committed to reducing error-likely situations.
Supporting Principles of Best Defenses:
Everyone’s participation and involvement in safety programs and processes is critical to our success.
We share in the responsibility of our co-workers’ safety by submitting Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) observations and using our Human Performance and Improvement (HPI) tools and principles.
Each individual must follow safe working practices to keep themselves, their team and the public safe.
Everyone in Vistra will receive and participate in company-provided training.
We will take the time to do the job safely and will not allow unsafe shortcuts.
